Set in the heart of the Highlands of Scotland, providing the best of both worlds. Ideally located on the edge of Muir of Ord, a village providing easy access to a host of outdoor activities and an excellent base for sightseeing and touring the scenic highlands with Loch Ness only a short drive away, yet still only 12 mins drive from the hustle and bustle of Inverness - the Capital of the Highlands - and all its attractions.

The house was completed in 2005, providing a very high standard of self-catering accommodation. The five double/twin bedrooms will sleep 10 comfortably. Smaller groups also catered for. Children are welcomed, a playroom is provided for the little ones and there is a large open playing field accessed at the bottom of the garden for the older children to explore. Integrated double garage for storage.

Location

The local area boasts many attractions, all easily accessible from the house.

Scotland is home to some of the world's finest golf courses, and there are over 20 golf courses within an hours drive. The local course is the Muir of Ord Golf Course.

Take boat trips to the Moray Firth and view bottle-nosed dolphins and seals or cruise down Loch Ness in search of the monster. You may also like to visit many of the historic sites in Inverness area, especially Culloden the scene of the famous battle in 1745 which ended the Jacobite rebellion. Other nearby attractions include Clava Cairns, The Caledonian Canal, and a whole host of distilleries (don't forget to visit the Famous Muir of Ord Distillery - within walking distance of the house).

Fancy something more rugged? Take the road north-west to the hills of Torridon and many other mountain ranges for good a days hill walking, or if you feel particularly adventurous, you could try climbing some of Scotland's famous Munros!
